Internship Opportunities!

Are you passionate about soccer and eager to gain hands-on experience in the sports industry? Goshen City FC is seeking interns to join our team for the upcoming season!

We have a variety of internship opportunities available, each offering unique experiences and the chance to contribute to our club’s success. All internships will run from the beginning of May to Mid-July, with hours varying based on the role and event schedules. 

These are unpaid internships, providing valuable experience and mentorship in a dynamic sports environment.

Available Internship Positions:
  1. Gameday Operations Intern

  • Summary:
    • Assist GCFC staff in ensuring a smooth gameday experience.
    • Gain behind-the-scenes understanding of community sporting event operations.
  • Responsibilities:
    • Collaborate with GCFC staff to develop gameday experience.
    • Arrive 2 hours pre-game for setup (tickets, concessions, merchandise, press box, restrooms).
    • Maintain smooth game operations.
    • Manage halftime activities (kids, giveaways).
    • Post-game teardown.
    • Coordinate gameday staff (concessions, merchandise, officials, PA announcer, trainer, tickets).
    • Participate in community engagement activities.
  • Internship Details:
    • Home games are primarily on Saturdays and Sundays.
    • Start Date: Beginning of May
    • End Date: Mid-July
    • Hours: 6-8 hours per week
  1. Communications and Marketing Intern

  • Summary:
    • Promote the GCFC program within the community.
    • Utilize photo, video, graphic design, writing, and print materials.
    • Develop creative promotional strategies.
  • Responsibilities:
    • Create content for social media posts, articles, website (goshencityfc.com), and gameday programs.
    • Brainstorm community engagement and promotion strategies.
    • Create and edit match preview and recap videos.
    • Participate in community engagement activities.
  • Internship Details:
    • Home games are primarily on Saturdays and Sundays.
    • Start Date: Beginning of May
    • End Date: Mid-July
    • Hours: 6-8 hours per week
  1. Livestream Commentator/Broadcasting Intern

  • Summary:
    • Assist with home game day broadcasting duties.
    • Provide live commentary for games streamed on YouTube.
    • Conduct interviews with coaches and players.
    • Gain experience in sports broadcasting and content creation.
  • Responsibilities:
    • Provide live commentary for home games streamed on YouTube.
    • Create and edit match preview and recap videos.
    • Conduct interviews with coaches and players.
    • Attend occasional team practices.
    • Participate in community engagement activities.
  • Internship Details:
    • Home games are primarily on Saturdays and Sundays.
    • Start Date: Beginning of May
    • End Date: Mid-July
    • Hours: 6-8 hours per week
  1. Photography/Videography Intern

  • Summary:
    • Capture visual content for Goshen City FC events.
    • Document player tryouts, home and away games, practices, and community activities.
    • Create photo and video content for social media and team use.
    • Gain experience in sports photography and videography.
  • Responsibilities:
    • Capture photos and videos of coaches, players, and spectators at events.
    • Record on-field action during home games
    • Create visual content, including photo albums and highlight videos.
    • Attend player tryouts, practices, home games, away games (transportation provided), and community engagement events
  • Internship Details:
    • Home games are primarily on Saturdays and Sundays.
    • Start Date: Beginning of May
    • End Date: Mid-July
    • Hours: 6-8 hours per week
  1. Coaching Assistant Intern

  • Summary:
    • Assist coaching staff with training preparation and equipment management.
    • Gain experience in soccer training and team operations.
    • Support coaches during training sessions.
  • Responsibilities:
    • Set up and take down equipment for training sessions.
    • Assist with inventory and organization of training gear and equipment.
    • Assist coaches during training sessions as needed.
  • Key Training Responsibilities:
    • Arrive before training sessions to assist with field setup and ensure all equipment is ready.
    • Work closely with coaching staff to understand the training plan and prepare necessary materials.
    • Monitor and assist with the maintenance of equipment during training sessions.
    • Help with post-training cleanup and equipment storage.
  • Internship Details:
    • Training sessions take place on weekday evenings, usually 3 times per week.
    • Attendance at training sessions is required.
    • Attendance at home games is required.
    • Home games are primarily on Saturdays and Sundays.
    • Start Date: Beginning of May
    • End Date: Mid-July
    • Hours: 6-8 hours per week
